Windows Explorer
The modern user interface of SharePoint Server lacks a way to view files in Windows Explorer. Our extension adds a button to modern libraries that lets you view and edit documents in Explorer.
This extension closes the gap that arose with the new modern interface and the end of support for Internet Explorer.
The extension provides the same functionality that is already available in the online version of SharePoint.
Note
The extension is based on the “ViewInFileExplorer” functionality of the Edge browser. We have tested it in SharePoint Server Subscription Edition together with Windows authentication in Edge. However, the extension should also work without any problems with SharePoint Server 2019 or with ADFS authentication.
